All About Me

Me!

I am a mother, a sister, and a friend.  I define myself by my faith and my hope. This past May I completed my Masters in Education and am currently working on pursuing a career in higher education. I am also writing a book on my quest for peace and the answers found in faith.  One day I will be published as I feel passionately that I have story to tell that will inspire others.  I currently live in Knoxville, Tennessee and am thankful for all the support and blessing I have in my life at this time.

I have twin sons who are teenagers and our favorite things to do together are cook, dance, sing, and listen to music.  We also enjoy trying new restaurants and prefer local favorites to some large chain restaurant.  We are great movie watchers and often spend a Friday or Saturday evening eating at the coffee table and watching a movie.    We attend church most Sundays as a family and love Sunday afternoons on the patio at our home playing games.

Bread and wine: a universal symbol of hospitality and fellowship.

This blog is dedicated to home as an expression of ourselves, our gifts, our talents and how to express our faith through the way we live our lives in our homesIt is about design but it is also about devotion.  It is inspired by the following verses from Proverbs “By wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established;
And by knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches.”  (Prov.24:3-4)

At the end of each post there will be a section for the reader for contemplation.  This section will be divided into two parts:  Design and Devotion.  The design section will guide you through a time of reflection and a practical exercise about the design of your home.  The devotion section will give you a moment to reflect on a scriptural principle that can be applied to how you live a faith-filled life in your home.  Thanks for joining me in this journey as I redefine my life and my home in relationship to where I dwell.
